Your Schedule With God’s Design

Does your calendar feel like a master, not a tool? We say yes too quickly, squeeze in too much, and end up exhausted. Our days are full, yet often not fruitful. Dearest, your schedule was never meant to control you — it was meant to reflect God’s design for your life.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
(Ephesians 5:15–16 NIV)

What Your Schedule Reveals

Take a look at your calendar. It tells the truth about your priorities more than your words do. If your time is consistently consumed by everyone else’s demands, it may be time to pause and ask: Is this truly how God wants me to spend my days?

Practices for Living by God’s Design

  • Set boundaries with grace. Every yes requires a no. Learn to prayerfully decline what doesn’t align with your calling.

  • Leave margin. Don’t pack every hour. God often speaks in the spaces we leave open.

  • Prioritize the eternal. Place faith, family, and God-given purpose at the center — let everything else take its rightful place around them.

A Moment for Reflection

Where is your calendar out of alignment with what you say matters most? What one change this week would bring your schedule closer to God’s design?

Remember

Your time is a sacred gift. When you align your schedule with God’s priorities, you find freedom, clarity, and peace.
